The Friends of Caples House Museum program allows individuals and companies to contribute funds of any amount, in-kind donations of goods or services, or by volunteering in exchange for museum tickets, meeting/event space, and public recognition. The levels/amounts noted below provide associated benefits. The DONATE NOW button above will redirect you to our non-profit payment portal* to select your level or you can enter any amount of your choice to donate (one-time, monthly, or annually).
Friend - $50 = Two (2) free tickets to Caples House Museum Special Tour
Donor - $100 = Name displayed on website, unless preference to remain anonymous, plus Friend benefit
Benefactor - $200 = Name displayed at public events, unless preference to remain anonymous, plus Friend & Donor benefits
Patron - $500 = One 4-hour weekday use of Knapp Center or the Cottage **
Corporate - $1,000 = One 8-hour weekday use of Knapp Center or the Cottage **
Lifetime Individual - $1,000 = One 8-hour weekday use of Knapp Center or the Cottage and donor name engraved on plaque in Knapp Center, plus Friend & Donor benefits
Benefactor Plus - $2,000 = One 8-hour weekend day use of Knapp Center or the Cottage **
Patron Plus - $5,000 = One 8-hour weekend day use of entire Caples House Museum property **

All donations of any amount at or above $100 will be displayed on Caples House website, unless donor wishes to remain anonymous.
Caples House Museum Complex consists of the historic 1870 Caples House, Tool Shed, Children’s Attic Doll Museum (formerly the Caples’ family carriage house), the Cottage with adjacent prep kitchen, Knapp Center with adjacent commercially rated kitchen, and outside areas including the gazebo overlooking the Columbia River, heritage orchard, and the grove.
Caples House Museum, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is an Oregon State Society Daughters of the American Revolution (OSSDAR) operated museum, being donated to the OSSDAR in 1959 by Mrs. Dell Caples Houghton, daughter of Dr. Charles G. and Lucinda (McBride) Caples. The Daughters of the American Revolution is a non-political, non-profit volunteer women’s organization focused on historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Caples House is also on the National Register of Historic Places.
