CAPLES QUILT COLLECTION

A display case in the upstairs hallway displays quilts made in the time period of our pioneer family.  The woven coverlets are also from this 1840-1890 period.  Weavers would travel from town to town, weaving fabric and fancy coverlets.  There are also examples of hand loomed blankets in this case.
