We Welcome You to Become a
Friend of Caples House Museum

The Caples House Museum complex occupies an entire city block in the historic locality of Columbia City, Oregon.  In 1870, on the banks of the beautiful Columbia River and with a majestic view of Mount Saint Helens, Dr. Charles Green Capes built his modest two-story home.  His home is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  In 1959 the Oregon State Society Daughters of the American Revolution acquired ownership and have since operated it as a museum.  The Knapp Memorial Social Center is available year-around for social and community events.  Your donation will help us to preserve this historic landmark—a legacy of Dr. Charles Caples who did so much for this community.  Call us for museum hours or to schedule your wedding or other event—503 397 5390.
